ClickFunnels Review – Is ClickFunnels worth the money?

ClickFunnels is a powerful page and funnel editor with an autoresponder and affiliate program. So what is ClickFunnels and is it worth the money? Read my ClickFunnels review, and I will give you the answer. 

Hi there, my name is Richard Walker and have used ClickFunnels for some time now. I ordered ClickFunnels to receive a sharefunnel and training on how to use it and promote ClickFunnels as an affiliate. The mentor that gave me the funnel also recommended us to promote DotCom Secrets on the thank you page. Since I like to know what I promote, I wanted to read the book first. So I ordered DotCom Secrets and also chose the Black Box, so I got both his books.

The books were awesome, and I loved them both. It was so much value there, and I learned so much about marketing. I was expecting a little book that was made to promote ClickFunnels, and I was very wrong.

Then ClickFunnels launched the One Funnel Away Challenge, and I joined it 5 min after I read the email from Russell Brunson. The challenge was also very good, and I did what I was taught. In the challenge, you will learn to model what is working today and create your product based on what you have researched.

It was during the challenge I become fully aware of the value of ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels is so easy to use and fast to create funnels. Especially with templates or you are receiving a funnel as I did in the One Funnel Away Challenge.

Who is Russell Brunson

Russell Brunson is the CEO and co-founder of ClickFunnels. Russell has been a marketing nerd since he was 12 years old. During all the years he has learned a lot about marketing. 

Funnels made the offers profitable again, and he made a lot of money, but it was one problem. He needed a lot of people and a couple of months to create this funnel. And not every funnel was successful. So creating funnels was a very time consuming and costly method to create an offer, but funnels were the method that made him the most successful offers.

It was then Russell Brunson created ClickFunnels with a couple of other founders. A software that makes funnel and page designing easy.

Russell Brunson is also ClickFunnels main face out to the world. You knowing who Russell Brunson is, is important when I’m presenting ClickFunnels in this review for you, because many of the quotes and information is from teaching by Russell Brunson.

What is a funnel?

I can't write a ClickFunnels review without giving a short explanation of what funnels are. Funnels are a set of pages where your audience is given one page after each other. They can access the first page in your funnel, not all like a regular website is designed. Then they need to do some actions to see the next page. The action can be giving you their email address, credit card information to buy something.

That way, your audience has minimal choices. Russell Brunson's says, "A confused mind always says no", therefore you need to create your pages as little confusion as possible.

ClickFunnels Review - My honest opinion about Clickfunnels

ClickFunnels is a page and funnel builder software. It was made for entrepreneurs so they can create their own funnels and landing pages without technical skills. You don’t need to hire help to create funnels and pages, you can do it yourself with ClickFunnels.  

You can watch Tray Lawolllens video below where he explains how he started his e-commerce success with ClickFunnels. What he did was creating one funnel a week to promote a product he wanted to sell. After some tries, he found something that was working and was the person that made the most in sales on shortest time with e-commerce in ClickFunnels. To design and launch a funnel each week was impossible before ClickFunnels was created.

ClickFunnels Funnel Editor

With ClickFunnels you create a funnel with pages inside. When someone goes to your funnel, they will go to the first page, then they need to do something to get on your next page in the funnel.

You can drag and drop the different pages so your audience can go through the funnel you like it. Or you can give behavior rules to each page in the funnel. 

ClickFunnels Page Editor

ClickFunnels is designed with sections, rows, and elements. So you create a section that you can customize things like background colors. Then you add rows inside the sections to structure the page as you like. In the end, you add elements inside the rows. An element can be headlines, regular text, images, and videos. This are just a few of the elements. All this can be clicked and moved around with your mouse as you like.   

This makes the page editor very easy to use with a useful and intuitive structure, once you know about it. 

ClickFunnels Follow-up Funnels

So you have created a funnel, whats next? You need follow-up funnels so you can follow up with your leads and customers. With ClickFunnels you can create the follow-up funnels so you can continue to educate and to promote more of your products.

You can integrate your favorite 3rd party software to follow up on your leads or use ClickFunnels integrated email software.

You can create a long series of pre-written emails to your leads and customers, and you can send emails manually if you prefer that. What Russell Brunson recommends in DotCom Secrets is to send 5-10 emails, then send new emails every day where you share stories and information. In each email, you end with a call to action. 

Backpack - The ClickFunnels affiliate program that makes other people promote your product.

This software that is a part of ClickFunnels Etison Suite, will make you able to create your own affiliate program. You can do what ClickFunnels does, offer 40% or similar to people that promote your product that ends in a sale. With Backpack, people can join your affiliate membership area and receive their own unique link they can promote. You can add tools and information on how to promote your product, just like ClickFunnels does.

The Backpack is not just software that ClickFunnels promotes, but they also use it, and you can create something similar they have made yourself. What I don't like is companies that are selling something they do not use themselves. ClickFunnels use their own software, and when it's good enough for a 100 million dollar company, I believe it's good enough for me too.

FunnelFlix - The Netflix for entrepreneurs

When you join ClickFunnels, you will gain access to FunnelFlix. FunnelFlix is the Netflix for entrepreneurs where you can watch training and documentaries with your family. The training is made by ClickFunnels and other course creators like Garret White, Steve Larsen and Agora Financial to mention a few. You gain access based on your membership plan.

Is ClickFunnels the best funnel builder software out there?

As you now know, ClickFunnels is a page and funnel editor. As Russell Brunson also says it, ClickFunnels is just a website builder and its lots of them out there. So why write a review on another website builder?

ClickFunnels is so much more. I have learned that funnels are very important in every business. Russell Brunson has created multiple products, some are free, others are free + shipping, and some is more expensive. All the different products are created to teach you the importance of funnels and why ClickFunnels is the best software to create your funnels.

And why should you use funnels? Because funnels increase your average order value of each customer. With funnels, you can advertise and get customers and leads that pays for the advertising cost that increases in price each year.

You can agree or disagree on the teaching above, but ClickFunnels is growing without the use of outside funding like venture capital. They are growing by teaching others the value of their product, a product they are using.

With ClickFunnels, you can create:

What are the best parts of ClickFunnels?

I want you to know what I think is best with ClickFunnels. Hopefully, this information from my review will help you decide if this software is something for you. The list is in random order. 

Best Feature 1: The Funnel Cookbook

For some ago, Russell Brunson created a Funnel Cookbook where he gives away all his top performing funnel types and when he is using them. The book is designed like a cookbook as the name says.

Later he added this to how you create a new funnel. When you want to create a new funnel, you can choose the cookbook. Then find the recipe that suits you and ClickFunnels creates it for you. All you need to do is to add content. You should also try to make the pages your own with your logo and colors you like.

This makes it very easy and quick to create new funnels. 

Best Feature 2: The huge variety of page elements.

Inside ClickFunnels you can add many types of elements, so your page is how you want it to be. And if something is missing, you have the option to insert HTML code yourself.

Best Feature 3: The community.

ClickFunnels have a massive community with funnel hackers. This is a name Russell Brunson once started to use. Their Facebook group is very active with other users of ClickFunnels or people that are just curious about ClickFunnels. In the group, they discuss funnels, entrepreneurship, and are helping each other out.

You also have Funnel Hacking Live that is a yearly three-day event. At this event, entrepreneurs meet to talk and learn from each other. During the days there is presentation and teaching from ClickFunnels and by other entrepreneurs.

ClickFunnels also has a forum for ClickFunnels users only. That way you know that your questions will be answered by other users and not trolls.

ClickFunnels also has a Facebook group for their affiliates where you can discuss and receive help on how to promote ClickFunnels if this is something you choose to do. 

Best Feature 4: The ClickFunnels Affiliate Program

ClickFunnels have some of the best affiliate programs out there. The commission is high, and there are multiple offers to promote. You can even promote the free products just too sticky cookie your audience.

So what is the sticky cookie? When ClickFunnels sells a product. They will check the browser if there is an affiliate cookie there. If there is one, the affiliate will get credit for the sale. If there is no cookie, ClickFunnels will check if the email address is registered from before and if there is some affiliate associated with that address. If it is, the affiliate will receive the commission even if the promotion happened years ago.

Best Feature 5: FunnelFlix

After they have launched FunnelFlix, I upgraded to ClickFunnels Platinum and have started to watch the different courses. Now I'm watching Garret White to improve my self and my business.

One problem with FunnelFlix may be that you will watch course after course and you will lose momentum by working less with the things that move your business forward. 

What I don’t like about ClickFunnels and other complaints

Now you have learned what I like about ClickFunnels, but is ClickFunnels a software without some negative aspects? There is something I don't like about ClickFunnels, and a useful ClickFunnels review also needs to list the negative elements so you can make the correct decisions. 

Bad Part 1: The limits on the starter plan.

I know ClickFunnels says one funnel is enough to make millions a year, but sometimes you need a lot of funnels. With the starter plan, you are limited to 20 funnels and 100 pages. I have to say that the page limit was especially annoying.

There is also a limit on traffic. The limit is 120,000 /month. So you can start with the starter plan, but when you become truly successful. You need to upgrade your plan at ClickFunnels to handle the traffic, and maybe also the numbers of funnels and pages.

But when you are successful, you probably want to upgrade your ClickFunnels plan, and the additional cost is no issue. So this annoyance is only in the beginning when you are building your business.

The limits may also be good since it forces you to not work on a lot of projects at the same time. The biggest problem for a beginner is too many projects. You should focus on one at the time. 

Bad Part 2: ClickFunnels is not for everyone.

In advertising, they say that ClickFunnels is for everyone. I understand why they say it, but ClickFunnels is not the best choice for everyone. If you are selling something, ClickFunnels is great! ClickFunnels is great to use in most situations.

But if you have a blog and just want a page to collect leads. Maybe you are not so involved in email marketing, but you want to have an extra method to communicate with your readers. ClickFunnels Pricing Plans

ClickFunnels have two main pricing plans. Its the starter plan at $97/month and ClickFunnels Platinum at $297/month. There are also some other plans where you are receiving ClickFunnels as a part of the training.

ClickFunnels Pros and Cons

I have made a short list of the main pros and cons below:

ClickFunnels Pros:

• It's easy and quick to create funnels.
• Good layout.
• Easy to find what you are looking for.
• You will receive courses and documentaries.
• You will receive a free domain name when you join.
• You will receive a free t-shirt when you have done the training.

ClickFunnels Cons:

• The price is a bit high for beginners.
• If you have a lot of projects, the beginner plan is a bit limited regarding the number of funnels and pages you are allowed. 

Everything else you need to know about ClickFunnels

These is some of the issues, questions, or other information that you should know about ClickFunnels. I will update the list when I get more questions.

Don’t buy domain names through ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels have to possibility to order domains, and this is working correctly. The problem is when you want to move the domain from ClickFunnels. Because they have not focused on domain ordering, they have not the systems in place to move the domains away from them. So this process is not the best one, so I recommend you to order your domains through Namecheap.

It's still easy to connect your domain with ClickFunnels, but of course not so easy as if you buy through ClickFunnels. So if you plan never to use the domain for other things than ClickFunnels, it's okay to buy through ClickFunnels.  

Conclusion on my review - ClickFunnels is the best funnel builder software!

ClickFunnels is one of the best page and funnel editor. There is probably editors that can create more advanced pages, but not so easy to use as ClickFunnels. So do recommend ClickFunnels to everyone.

If you just want a page to collect email addresses, you can probably go for cheaper software like GetResponse.
